| I heard about Kazchastan. Back in the old days (before internetradio existed) when shortwave radio was about the only way to hear sounds from abroad, I occassionaly tried to pick up radio Alma Aty, especially the programm "für die deutsche Bevölkerung Kazachstans" (for the German population of Kazachstan), the 'Russlandeutschen' (Russian Germans) that had been forced to live there by Stalin during the second world war. These days I see the TV programm of 'Caspionet' via satellite, a station that gives news etc. from countries arond the Caspian sea, o.a. Kazachstan. |

| Borat... |
|
kamenarski_bg 04.05.2007 18:49
| @quinn: "Borat" has nothing to do with Kazakhstan.
1. The movie is filmed in the worst, mostly gypsy populated parts of Romania and all the slam bits you see is not Kazakhstan.
2. The film was over exagerating some minor issues common for many Asian countries not just Kazakhstan (i.e. Prostitution)
3. Most of it is completely made up. Do you really think that in Kazakhstan jews are killed on the street for fun and that women are placed in a cage so they don't "run away"?
Complete nonsense! |
