Hello Halima, excellent job on the blog, keep up the great work! The blogs are very interesting and very informative. Also, as a totally blind computer user, I found that the blog is very accessible and easy to navigate around with screanreading technology, I really appreciate that as well.

Hi again, Halima!

I would like to comment on one of your articles, the one entitled "Flashback". I found it very inspiring and encouraging, what you say is totally true and I can totally relate. So I'm really glad to see that we share the same views. You are absolutely right, we must not regret our past mistakes, but rather, we must learn from them. A singer/songwriter friend of mine (Angela McKay , http://www.angelamckay.com ) wrote a song entitled "Lessons", which sums up very well the views stated in your article. She says, in the chorus, "I will be smiling at the lessons I have learned". We must use the mistakes as life lessons from which we learn, this will help us to be able to work towards a better future. I myself was going through a period in my teens where I really didn't know what I wanted to do in life, and was always looking back at the mistakes I've made in the past, regretting all the bad decisions I've made and wishing I could just go back in time and make the decisions in a different way. Finally, I have learned to live one day at a time, and not to worry so much about the past or the future. And I must say, I honestly feel that things are finally starting to come together. The importance is to stay positive and keep trying. Another thing that may help too, is to count your blessings, we must be thankful for what we have, these things, these qualities really do make up for the things we don't have. I try to apply this on a day to day basis. In my case, I am totally blind, but despite my visual impairment I'm a happy go lucky person who enjoys life and tries to live life to the fullestf. I can do the majority of things a sighted person can do, with my other four senses. And I'm very thankful for that.

Best regards,

Siena.

Hi siena,
I am impressed with your words and the way you live your life.
You are great siena, and be the example from others. Inspite of your being visually impaired, you showed how grateful you are for what you have. Others, forget to be thankful eventhough they have everything they want but seems not enough.
God bless you siena.
