| Hi all,
I just had an idea for a new feature on the site. I think it would be a great idea to have notifications by email of new messagesa and new introductions. A lot of sites have this feature for their private messaging systems, and I think it would be a great feature to have here. The user receives a notification by email every time a new message arrives, and he/she must click on the link to view his/her new messages. It just makes it easier to keep track.

I'm not sure if anyone read my previous message concerning the email notification feature request, so I will give this another go in the hopes of receiving a response from the site administrator.
Last Monday, I received an email notification from LingoZone alerting me of new messages on the site. In the message, I was only given a link to the login screen, so I had to enter my username and password, then click on the tab that says "Click here", then click on Friends in order to read my new messages. There have been several new messages since then, and I have not received any form of email notification since last Monday. In fact, what I was actually suggesting was that LingoZone send out an email alerting users of each individual message that comes in (not introductions but actual private messages). This will make it easier for users to keep track. I will use an example to illustrate how this should work:
I receive a message from a user who we will call PeggySue (for the purpose of this example). LingoZone sends me a message saying in the subject, "New message from PeggySue". Then in the body of the message, I am given a direct link to PeggySue's message. I can read it and choose whether I want to delete it or reply to it. Then LuittleJohnny sends me a message, same procedure. LingoZone sends me an email notification, I click on the direct link to LittleJohnny's message, and voilà ! it saves me the trouble of having to log in each time. Of course, users should be given the option of turning this feature on or off when editing and creating their profile, as not all users will want to use it.
